Cross country running success

249 Squadron is on a winning streak, brining home two gold, two silver and one bronze medal's in the annual Sussex Wing cross country competition. The event took place on a blowy and rainy day at Crowborough Army camp on the 15^th November. In the Junior girls race Cdt Dunton came in 1^st, with a spectacular performance. In the senior girl’s race, also coming in 1^st, was Cdt Shula Smith, followed closely by her sister Cdt Sophia Smith, who came in 3^rd. The Boy performed just as well with Cdt D Scott, one of our new cadets, running in the class A boys event, he got a sliver meddle by coming in 2^nd out of 36 runners.

Cdt Saul Smith and Cpl Burchmore, running in the Boys Class C race, came in 5^th and 6^th consecutively.

This is a tremendous result for 249 Squadron, and all these cadets will be representing Sussex Wing at the next stage of the cross country competition.
