Cross country running success 249 Squadron is on a winning streak, brining home two gold, two silver and one bronze medal's in the an nual Sussex Wing cross country competition. The event took place on a blowy and rainy day at Crowborough Army camp on the 15th November. In the Junior girls race Cdt Dunton came in 1st, with a spectacular performance. In the senior girl’s race, also coming in 1st, was Cdt Shula Smith, followed closely by her sister Cdt Sophia Smith, who came in 3rd. The Boy performed just as well with Cdt D Scott, one of our new cadets, running in the class A boys event, he got a sliver meddle by coming in 2nd out of 36 runners. Cdt Saul Smith and Cpl Burchmore, running in the Boys Class C race, came in 5th and 6th consecutively. This is a tremendous result for 249 Squadron, and all these cadets will be representing Sussex Wing at the next stage of the cross country competition.
