Sports The Air Training Corps offers a broad range of sporting activities to cadets, allowing them to represent there Squadron, Wing, Region, and even go all the way to represent the Corps in the national competitions against Army and Sea Cadets. However there are also a huge variety of other sports participated in at Squadron and Wing levels including 5-A-Side, Table Tennis, Volleyball and many more. These tend to be played more for local pride and fun rather than being truly competitive; it does not matter if your not designed to be the next Olympic star. The opportunities are there, enjoy yourself! These are the seven major sports that Cadets have the oppertunity to compete in : AthleticsThis is an annual Wing event is held every year, if cadets do well they can be selected to compeate in the regional competition. SwimmingThis is also a Wing event usaly held in September each year, once angain if cadets do well they can be selected to swim for the Regional competition. As well as competitive swimming many cadets will take part and acheve swimming proficiency awards. NetballNetball is played at senior and junior level, Squadrons compete for the Wing trophy and individual players are picked for the Wing netball team. HockeyHockey is played at senior and junior level, Squadrons compete for the Wing trophy and individual players are picked for the Wing hockey team. |   | RugbyRugby is played at senior and junior level, Squadrons compete for the Wing trophy and individual players are picked for the wing rugby team. Cross CountryThis Wing event takes place in November/December with a three mile course to be run. This usaly thaks place at Crowborough Army Camp. |
